Objectives
CDC, will increase the competency of health care and public health workers and the capability of health care facilities to deliver efficient and effective Ebola patient care through the nationwide, regional network for Ebola and other infectious diseases. Comprised of staff from hospitals that have successfully evaluated and treated Ebola patients in the U.S., and in collaboration with staff from CDC and ASPR, the NETEC will offer expertise, education, training, technical assistance, peer review assessments, recognition reporting, and, if feasible, certification to regional Ebola and other special pathogen centers, state- and jurisdiction-based Ebola treatment centers, and assessment hospitals expertise, education regional Ebola and other special pathogen treatment centers, state- and jurisdiction-based Ebola treatment centers, and assessment hospitals. This cooperative agreement will support a single consortium agreement, under which the awardee collaborates with one or more other organizations in carrying out the cooperative agreement-supported activities of the NETEC.
Eligible applicants
Eligible applicants are limited to health care facilities that have safely and successfully evaluated and treated patients with Ebola in the U.S. The lead applicant will collaborate, coordinate, plan, and work directly with the other facilities on appropriate activities described in the individual funding opportunity announcement, as well as distribute the funds from the funding opportunity announcement to support those activities.
