Objectives
To make grants, cooperative agreements, or enter into contracts with Indian tribes, tribal organizations, and Alaska Native entities, to plan, conduct, and administer programs or portions of programs authorized by and consistent with the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006, as amended by the Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act (Perkins V).
Eligible applicants
Federally recognized Indian tribes, tribal organizations, Alaska Native entities, and Bureau-funded schools (except for a Bureau-funded school proposing to use its award to support secondary school CTE programs), and consortia of any of these entities may apply. (Please see the Special Authority in section 116(b)(3) of Perkins V for the provision relating to secondary schools operated or supported by the Bureau of Indian Education).
