Objectives
To assist nonprofit, non-government, professional organizations, through a financial assistance award, in improving the Nation’s emergency preparedness, response and recovery posture to radiological and nuclear events and to encourage State and local government participation in informing domestic and international policies, regulations, contingency planning, training and capacity-building.
Eligible applicants
Nonprofit, non-government, professional organizations may apply to administer the Nuclear Counterterrorism and Incident Response Program to enable radiation professionals in State and local government to improve the Nation’s emergency preparedness, response and recovery posture to radiological and nuclear events and to encourage State and local government participation in informing domestic and international policies, regulations, contingency planning, training and capacity-building.
Financial assistance range
The expected range of awards is approximately $275,000; $92,000/year for three years for the lifecycle of the project.
