Objectives

The Not-for-Profit, Acid Mine Drainage (AMD) Reclamation - Watershed Cooperative Agreement Program (WCAP) seeks applications from eligible applicants to restore streams affected by AMD to a level that will support a diverse biological community and provide recreational opportunities for the community.

Eligible applicants

Recipients must be not-for-profit IRS 501(c)(3) status organizations. Federal, state, local governments, colleges, and universities are not eligible to receive direct funding.

Financial assistance range

The approximate average amount of each financial assistance award is $100,000. The FY 2025 obligation estimate is subject to the availability of appropriations and Congressional authority.
